Work you love. Work you’re proud of. Work that’s extraordinarily worthwhile. That’s what we can promise you, if you join our award winning team of digital developers.
Primarily focused on development using Drupal, you’ll switch between being part of a team on large campaign sites to project leader on smaller ones. So, as well as being able to influence our digital strategies and output, you’ll have the creative freedom to shape sites according to your own ideas.
There’s no doubt, then, that your work will be varied - especially as you’ll be involved in everything from feasibility studies and project scoping to driving forward best practice and innovation, as well as hands-on experience with development environments, frameworks and tools. What’s more, you’ll do all this where it’s fun. Where we love new ideas. And where we care about what we do, because by making Comic Relief more successful, more people who are suffering will see their lives improve.
Candidates must be strong in the following areas:
• Developing sites using PHP5, mySQL, JS
• Building and skinning a site that works across multiple platforms (such as desktop browsers and mobile devices)
• Drupals theming templates and preprocess functions
• Drupal module development (preferably having submitted modules to the Drupal community)
• High-availability development
• Version control (SVN/GIT)
• Social media integration
Some extra credit:
• Experience working on enterprise-level drupal environments
• Experience with Drupal 7
• A good understanding of UX and accessibility
Bring us all this, and you won’t be disappointed - you will part of a talented and award-winning team with an enthusiasm for sharing ideas as well as working on some of the UK’s largest campaigns in Red Nose Day and Sport Relief.
